Almost everybody loves red wine. One outstanding red is the René Barbier Gran Reserva 1999. Made from Spain’s own Tempranillo grape mixed with Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine underwent at least 2 years of ageing in French Oak Barrels and another 3 years in the bottle before it was commercially released. On the nose and mouth, dark, ripe, autumn fruits dominate and are complimented by notes of cocoa, liquorice and black pepper. It is the most impressive addition to the Rene Barbier line to date.
