Spicy Beef Rendang @ Wild Ginger

“Are you free tomorrow for lunch?” Jessica asked, I said Yes, it’s been a while since the last time we talked about her blog etc. Jessica suggested that we have lunch at Wild Ginger, one of the few restaurants at Power Plant Mall that serves Asian specialties from all over Southeast Asia.

I love Asian food, Who doesn’t? I must admit, I had a hard time choosing from the menu and instead of going back and forth and possibly ending up with the wrong choice I just asked Jessica for suggestions since she’s already familiar with the restaurants menu. After a short chat she ordered Pork with red curry paste while she recommended that I try their Beef Rendang. It’s no doubt that the place is her favorite restaurant, in fact she calls this restaurant her office extension. Hmmm I dont think thats advisable for me:) (more…)

Temari Sushi @ Tempura Japanese Grill

I mentioned before that Japanese Food is my least favorite. I even mentioned it to my Japanese friends; what a shame. I am now literally eating all my words coz Im now fully hooked and addicted to Japanese food.

I currently work on a graveyard shift so my dinner is usually around 12nn Manila time. While walking towards Makati Avenue to look for a cab, I saw Tempura Japanese Grill so I thought I may want to satisfy my hankering for Ebi Tempura since the one I cooked a couple of days ago was a major fail. Traditional Filipino Dishes at its best @ Sentro 1771

Nothing can beat Pinoy Food, I guess its the acquired taste but I guess there’s really nothing like your own. Last week, I was invited to visit the restaurant and experience their food. The restaurant was not yet crowded when we arrived but customers started to walk in as lunch time approached.

For appetizer, we ordered Organic native white cheese, coated with breadcrumbs and deep-fried until golden brown. Drizzled with sweet chili guava sauce and served with garlic dip. (more…)
