Sandosenang Halo at Digman Original Halo-Halo

Last Friday, after covering the media launch of Bacood Festival in Bacoor Cavite, the organizer brought us in the Original Digman Halo Halo in Cavite which is blocks from the Bacoor Municipal Hall.

Digman is actually a small baranggay in Bacoor that owes it’s popularity to its delicious halo halo. There are several restaurants who serve halo halo along the streets of Digman but we tried the Original Digman halo halo who surprisingly has made Digman Halo Halo a patented product since almost all of the restaurants serving Halo Halo in Digman are claiming to be THE original.

Halo-Halo is a famous Filipino dessert composed of shaved ice, evaporated or condensed milk and generally mixed with boiled red mung beans (black mongo), kidney beans, garbanzos, sugar palm fruit (kaong), coconut sport (macapuno), and plantains caramelized in sugar. (more…)
