After heavy lunch in Gasthof, the rest of my travel buddies went back to the hotel while I decided to walk around D’Mall area to look for a Barber Shop. I found my self sitting not in a barber’s chair but inside Lemoni Cafe waiting for my order. I’m wasn’t really hungry, I wanted to treat my sweet tooth so I ordered five Rum Balls (P25 each).

Holiday Rum Balls
Rum Balls are made of compressed chocolate, sponge cake coated with chocolate ganage, and sprinkled with streusel. Chocolate ganage is made of whipped cream and chocolate syrup and are commonly used as toppings for cakes and pastries. It can be whipped as filling, icing, or just poured over any cake you have. During my childhood Pandesal always completed my breakfast. I always made sure to have it toasted, “tostado”, then I dip it in a cup of Kapeng Barako. Rarely do I see bakeshops in urban places like Makati, so I thank Starbucks, which is all over the metropolis, in fact I think Starbucks Coffee shops outnumbered 711.. at least in Makati.

Starbucks Multi-grain Bagel and Cream Cheese
Since Starbucks is the only coffee shop near my office, It’s always my first stop before going to work. I don’t know when Starbucks started selling Bagels but this is where I was introduced to it. I used to love their Corned Beef Pandesal but that was forgotte when I had my first taste of their Multigrain bagel. Don’t you just love bagels with cream cheese? I do! The only time I go for other breakfast meals are when Bagels are out of stock. I love the multi-grain bagel when its hot, crispy and toasted. Read the rest of this entry →

I was never an Indie film lover or some sort but since my fellow night crawlers; Laise and Lara convinced me to join them at Cubao-X for dinner, I found my right foot roaming the artist’s hub. After being overwhelmed with pre-war cameras in an antique shop in the area, we finally decided to eat and look for an interesting restaurant in the place.

Mogwai in Cubao-X
Cubao X has been known as an artistic venue for music lovers, fasionistas, photographers, film producers and antique lovers. Though most of the buildings are considered run-down, they were able to revive the place with fantastic collection of paintings, clothing’s, music, movies and antiques. Read the rest of this entry →

Breakfast is the most important meal and definitely my favorite meal of the day. Whenever I dont have anything to cook, you can find me each morning in Starbucks:)

Hungarian Sausage, Egg and Cheese on Ciabatta Bread
Aside from Sausage Roll and my favorite Toffee Nut Latte, Hungarian Sausage, Egg & Cheese on Ciabatta Bread (Php 90) is my new favorite. This breakfast sandwiche has thin slices of Hungarian Sausage, cheese, scrambled egg on hot and crispy Ciabatta Bread.

Hungarian Sausage, Egg and Cheese on Ciabatta Bread Php95.00
Breakfast Sandwiches are available only in selected Metro Manila stores.

It’s Yuletide Season again and aside from the Starbucks planner craze, Its the time of the year where my favorite Starbucks holiday drinks are back. Guess What it is? It’s Toffee Nut Latte! The Toffee Nut Latte makes my daily visit to Starbucks much much more enjoyable, I dunno but I really like the combination of Latte and Toffee Nut Syrup.

Molten Chocolate Cake + Toffee Nut Latte = Heaven
Starbucks Toffee Nut Latte is a rich, buttery and nutty coffee beverage with a distictive taste. This season’s most favorite hot latte beverage is topped with whipped cream and delightful toffee nut sprinkles for a handcrafted touch. Read the rest of this entry →

It took me an hour to reach Robinsons Place Manila due to heavy traffic in Quiapo area. Since I left my place without having breakfast, I walked around Manila Midtown wing and saw this new restaurant called MoMo Food + Drink. Its pretty new restaurant, In fact it was their third day of operation when I visited their recently opened restaurant.

Bacon and Pancakes Php119.00 ++
Unlike Mall of Asia, Robinsons Place is much more accessible for me and all areas are fully air-conditioned maybe that’s the reason why I prefer to set most of my meetings in this mall. Robinsons Place new wing offers a good range of restaurants from mid range to uber pricey restaurants catering to the rich and famous and social climbers too (LOL). Read the rest of this entry →
