Since he was just 16, Chef Marko has been working in kitchens and he started with the amazing Don Alfonso near the island of Capri, Italy. Says the Chef of his early days in working with food – “In Italy, the love for good food and wine is part of the culture. It’s palpable in the feast-like servings and jolly gatherings among family and friends during every meal. When I started out in the kitchen, I drew inspiration from the best cuisines I’ve sampled in restaurants, in homes and even street food.”

From there the Chef sharpened his skills and his knives in the likes of the Waldorf Astoria, La Pergola, and worked under some of Italy’s most famous kitchen masters. From the Spanish Mentor Ferran Adria, the father of molecular gastromy at the famed El Bulli to preparing food for Kings, Prime Ministers, an Presidents, he learned his lessons well and these days his international and Italian cuisine are earning high praise. The reason? The Chef focuses on the freshest ingredients “When you have the right ingredients, keep the dish simple. Basically, use the perfect components for conjuring a balance of flavors for sweet, sour, hot, spicy, tangy and salty.”
