While roaming around Greenbelt 5 to find a good place to eat, I saw Gelatissimo’s newest branch in Manila.
Newly opened last December is Gelatissimo where you will find its award winning gelato which is actually made fresh each day using an authentic secret family recipe. I recently enjoyed a cup of Gelato at Gelatissimo and found its small shop more appropriate for entertaining a business client than bringing in the whole family.
If you love chocolate and fruit, you will be very happy with the choices offered at Gelatissimo. There are too many options on the menu to list here, but they basically have everything a chocolate and fruit lover would want and the portions I found to be quite generous (at least for the price).
The basic serving should net you about 2 scoops of gelato in a good sized cup. I sampled the Mocha Nut Crunch and the Berry Cheesecake and found the slightly sour taste of the Cheesecake to be a nice complement to the sweetness of the Mocha nut Crunch. What a lovely combination!
Too bad they dont have Chili Chocolate flavor. Two flavors I probably wouldn’t think of blending to begin with. Not my cup of tea, but interesting none the less.
I highly recommend Gelatissimo whether for dessert or a simple treat. Putting slices of carved fruits and chocolate bars in those cute scoop formed shapes was a visual temptation that I wasn’t about to miss.
