A Pinoy Photo Food Blog
Filipinos are accustomed to a filling breakfast and Yes we love rice even we already have noodles in the table. Call it a palate adventure but at least it was a flavorful one:)
So it was my fourth and last day in the Island, I woke up early since I have a late morning flight and I’m quite unsure if the flight will be in Kalibo or Caticlan due to the weather condition.
During the entire duration of my stay in the island, I tried several dishes like German, Spanish, Swiss, American and Chinese and before leaving my comfort zone, I just want to eat something familiar… something Pinoy.
We originally planned to order a set breakfast meal but after browsing their Menu, we ended up ordering La Paz Batchoy, Crispy Pata and rice. Crispy Pata for breakfast? Why not?
We should have ordered Chicken Inasal but the Crispy Pata in the Menu is inviting us to grab and eat it. I’m not used to eating Crispy Pata without iced cold beer but I discovered that this artery clogging food can be enjoyed anytime of the day… but please not for Merienda:)
The La Paz Batchoy is so good but its not as good as the one I tried in IloIlo a couple of months back. The Pata skin is not that crispy and the meat is not tender but I somehow enjoyed it. I think I just missed Pinoy Food haha!
The food is fairly priced compared to some restaurants located in the area so I would still recommend for you to tryout their food. They are located in front of Fish Bar right beside Boracay’s famous Ferris Wheel.
