Last weekend, together with Nina and Eric, we were invited by Abbey to taste the food in the newest Pasta Place in town called Ravioli. In no less than 10 minutes after securing our seats, our table was full of different pasta for us to try out.
We were able to taste five of their pasta offerings such as Bacon Carbonara, Spaghetti Bolognese, Spinach & Cream Cheese Ravioli, Ham & Garlic Ravioli and Chorizo & Tomato Ravioli.
Abbey suggested that we mix the Spinach & Cream Cheese Ravioli with Chorizo & Tomato Ravioli to tryout the contrasting flavors. It was actually good.. The natural taste of spinach blended well with Chorizo and Tomato…. truly a must try:)
In case you don’t know, Ravioli is a type of filled pasta composed of a filling sealed between two thin layers of thin pasta dough. Although most ravioli’s are rectangular in shape, some prefers it in triangular, half-moon or circular in shape.
What makes Ravioli different from other restaurant? They create fresh pasta and ravioli according to demand to maintain their pasta’s freshness. Aside from their freshly prepared pasta’s, they also make their own chorizo and bacon.
According to the store manager, their ultimate best seller is their Chorizo and Tomato Ravioli which is also my favorite. I also like their Spaghetti Bolognese – It’s so creamy and unlike the usual spaghetti bolognese from other restaurants, Ravioli’s version is not that sweet (Filipino’s love sweet spaghetti) and it’s so flavourful.
One thing you will love about Ravioli is the price of their food. You can even try their Bacon Carbonara and Spaghetti Bolognese in Merienda size for just P45.00.
Ravioli is located in the Robinsons Galleria food court in front of Greenwich.
