A coffee shop’s life lies on its baristas, you must admit – a cup of coffee is better enjoyed in a friendly environment. With so many coffee shops in the Metro – each one needs to find their own gimmick, you can get discount cards, loyalty cards that will let you to claim freebies but at the end of the day you’re still in search for the best coffee shop in town. Bona Coffee is plain and simple, apart from its beautiful interior, free Internet and WIFI and alfresco setting, you will be amazed at how friendly the Baristas are.
This romantic coffee shop by the bay was Sha and Karla’s discovery. It was past 5pm when we arrived at the place, after securing our seats we immediately ordered our choice of food. I ordered Buddha Belly Sandwich – It may sound sinful but its actually Belly friendly since it’s almost fat free. Imagine a huge sandwich stuffed with crabsticks, sweet mango, cilantro, lettuce, black olives and special dressing… hmmm I’m actually craving for one as I write this.
I cant believe we stayed inside the coffee shop for more than two hours. The store manager pretty much shared to us the history of the business as well as the company’s corporate goals. We were also lucky to have met Joseph Du – Bona Coffee’s In-house latte artist.
If your see different designs on the top layer of the coffee foam each time you order a cup of espresso – that’s called Latte Art.
Joseph Du showed us how experienced a latte artist he is when he demonstrated two latte art designs. It makes you not want to drink the coffee so as to preserve the beautiful masterpiece.
