It has been more than 5 years since the last time I visited Marawi City, the city that is also known as the Islamic City of Marawi.
Since Marawi’s population is predominantly Muslim (90%), food and delicacies in this City needs to be Halal. Last weekend, I visited Clamshell in Intramuros to meet my friends and to checkout the crafts, food products and cultural presentations from Southern Mindanao.
Inside the Clamshell, Delicacies from Marawi are offered to local and foreign tourists for free food tasting much like in Marawi where visitors are served with traditional Muslim cuisine like tinadtag, putrid mandi and other Halal foods before a cultural show is being presented.
Among the three delicacies served, Panganan Sising is my favorite – Its not too sweet and it taste like Espasol of Southern Tagalog Region.
