5 Nov 2008Even before I made my decicion to revisit Boracay for a food trip, Zuzuni is first on my list of restaurants to visit. It may sound Japanese but Zuzuni is actually a Greek word which means “cute little bug” and it is a term of endearment for friends, family and pets just like how Ilonggo people use the word “Pangga”.

Greek Pita Pizza with Feta and Olives
Zuzuni Restaurant is an ideal restaurant for honeymooners since it has a romantic appeal specially if you chose to eat at their alfresco dining right in front of the beach. The restaurant has a neat layout and the interior Décor is cozy, tropical inspired and minimalist.
Im not a big fan of Greek Foods but I think Im beggining to love it. Some Popular greek food recipe ingredients are honey, olives and olive oil, fresh white cheese (now known as feta), onion, garlic, fresh tomato, eggs, wine vinegar, wine and fresh vegetables and fruits in season.
I first ordered Kolokythakia Tiganita (Php120.00) – a fried zuccini coins in beer-ounzo batter, deep-fried and served with tzatziki.Tzatziki is a greek dip made of yogurt, thinly sliced cucumber and chopped garlic.
I also ordered Greek Pita Pizza with Feta and Olives (Php130.00) The white Greek feta is a naturally low fat cheese and is cured in salty water. It has a distinctive taste, and it packed full of available calcium, and milk proteins.
For dessert I ordered my favorite Mati Chocolate Sin (Php195.00), a flourless, Valrhona chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream. The restaurant also serves breakfast including a choice of omelettes, waffles and pancakes.
If you need to lose some weight, and detox your body have some ancient Greek food for a few days (Exclude the Mati Chocolate Sin LOL). You will not regret it.
